Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Gallon Zip-Top Bag
  • baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 24 oz cheese crackers (Cheez-Its or Goldfish)
  • cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix (1 oz)
  • 2 Tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp lemon pepper seasoning

Instructions

  • Whisk together the oil, ranch seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, and lemon pepper until fully combined.
  • Add the cheese crackers to a large zip-top bag. Pour the seasoned oil over the crackers, seal, and gently toss until evenly coated.
  • Lay the bag flat and let sit for at least 2 hours or overnight. Flip the bag every 30 minutes to distribute the seasoning evenly.
  • Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Spread crackers in a single layer on baking sheets and bake for 15–20 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
  • Cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Serve as a snack or party appetizer.

Notes

These crackers intensify in flavor as they sit. For the best texture and spice distribution, flip the bag frequently during marinating or finish with the optional low-bake step.
