Equipment

  • Slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 2 lb frozen meatballs (homestyle or beef)
  • 18 oz grape jelly
  • 12 oz chili sauce

Instructions

  • In a bowl or directly in the slow cooker, whisk together the grape jelly and chili sauce until mostly smooth.
  • Add the frozen meatballs to the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. Stir gently to coat.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours, until meatballs are heated through and the sauce is thick and glossy.
  • Give the meatballs a final stir, then set the slow cooker to WARM and serve with toothpicks.

Notes

Use homestyle or plain beef meatballs for the best flavor balance. Italian-style meatballs can clash with the sweet sauce.
