Ingredients
  

For the Peach Filling

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced (about 4-5 medium peaches) Use ripe, fresh peaches for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Divided in the recipe.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

For the Crisp Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with a gluten-free alternative.
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; mix well and spread evenly in a greased baking dish.
  • In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt together. Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the peach layer.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving warm to allow the juices to settle.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a treat. Can use canned peaches but adjust sugar if sweetened. Optional spices like nutmeg or vanilla can enhance flavor.
